Gamedrives: View Africa's animal- and birdlife from one of our open game viewing vehicles. Animals one can expect to see include giraffe, kudu, eland, nyala, zebra, red hartebeest, blue wildebeest, impala, warthog, duiker and steenbok. Night drives are also the perfect opportunity to see some of the nocturnal animals like leopard, aardvark, bushbabies and brown hyenas. Guided bush walks: Explore the African bush on foot and experience some of the smaller creatures and birds one tend to miss on a gamedrive. Our guides are very knowledgable about the trees, birds, animals, insects and reptiles one can expext to come across while walking. Birdwatching: The Matlabas Bushveldt is the ideal place for bird enthusiasts with over 200 recorded species in the area. Watch and photograph the birdlife from a blind, on foot or from an open vehicle. We also offer full day excursions from Matlabas Game Lodge to: - Marakele National Park - Sun City resort - Pilansberg National Park - Borakalalo Game Reserve - A full day safari in one of our Landrovers, just following the Limpopo River Breakfast and lunch is included on all full day excursions and you will be back in camp for dinner. Excursions may also be extended to two or more days. Prices and details will be made available on request. At the end of your hunting safai, you may wish to explore one or more of the great game parks of Southern Africa. We would be delighted to take you on a personalized safari to the Kruger National Park, the Mashatu, the Kalahari, the Moremi, the Chobe, the majestic Victoria Falls, the winelands of the Cape, or the awesome Drakensberg mountains. A safari or tour can be designed according to your interest. Accommodation can range from camping in the wilds to luxury lodges; it all depends on your preferences.
